    Hi Brent,

    Kevin from the Product team here! In general, for different database types we create specific integrations for them, unless the two databases are exactly binary compatible, such as MySQL/MariaDB.

    While Yugabyte is based on Postgres, there may be underlying differences in the log format, column structure, etc. that may cause issues when trying to connect with our existing connector. One example of potential differences is between MongoDB and DocumentDB, which are very similar, but would not be interchangeable with our current connectors.

    As such, we can definitely evaluate Yugabyte as a new connector feature request on the roadmap, however, as the Support team mentions, there is no guarantee our Postgres connector will fully support Yugabyte.
