API: Disable Sync of One or More Columns of a Connector Using Fivetran REST API

Hi,

I recently contacted Fivetran Support and was advised that although this feature exists for some connector, it's not available to all connectors. I was advised that if we are not able to enable/disable in the UI we will not be able to do it over REST API also.

I'm hoping we could add this feature in the future so we may help also those who have concern on space and ingesting data from source they have limited access to (e.g. Google Cloud Storage).

    Hi Vincent Miles Pele Manlapaz, Fabulous news! We're going to be adding Universal Column Blocking & Hashing in Q1 2021 (Starts Feb1 for us). This will mean EVERY connector will have the ability to block columns. Once this is available in the dashboard, it will also be available for the API. I hope this will solve your problem.
