Connector Improvement: Adaptive Planning - Support SSH Authentication
AnsweredHi,
Fivetran recently released an 'Adaptive Planning' connector (https://fivetran.com/docs/connectors/applications/workday-adaptive-planning) as linked to this feature request: https://support.fivetran.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360052973933-New-Connector-Adaptive-Insights.
While it's still in Beta, I am unable to test within my organization as the only supported authentication mechanism appears to be a user / password. I really want to pull this data using Fivetran, but our organization requires SSO for humans, and SSH keys for service accounts.
I would like to request that SSH key based authentication is supported for this connector.

Hi Mark,
It's clear you're aiming to securely access Adaptive Planning data using SSH key authentication, aligning with your organization's security standards. While direct SSH key authentication support is not currently available for the Adaptive Planning connector, we do now have an option for customers to use OAuth instead of username/password. Would you be interested in testing this new feature?
Thanks,

Hi Mark,
Thanks for submitting this request. Supporting token based authentication makes sense to me and our team will look into it.

My Organization is in the same boat - we have been using SDK to Connect to WD Adaptive and want to evaluate this out of box Connector, but we also have a strict SSO for user/password or prefered RSA Keys.
