Connector Improvement: Compare Feature To Read Against Readable Secondary SQLServer
AnsweredWe had noticed that even with our feature flag for SQLServer to use ApplicationIntent=ReadOnly set on at the corporate level that we were seeing calls from Fivetran hitting our primary. After a call with support it turned out that the feature flag was working, but a separate activity the Compare for Data Integrity was running against the primary. We would like if the ApplicationIntent feature flag to be on at the corporate level for this Compare activity to also pass in that parameter so that nothing Fivetran is using is running against our primary server and everything is run against the secondary.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for reaching out.
Yes, the
ApplicationIntent=ReadOnlysetting is applied at the account (corporate) level.
We apologize for the oversight here. We've temporarily removed your account from the Compare and Repair feature while we investigate how to isolate data validation to your secondary. Our goal is to make Compare and Repair a reliable way to proactively surface data integrity issues, so we’re looking into this closely. We’ll follow up as soon as we have clarity on next steps.Appreciate your patience and partnership.
Best,
Rean Rodrigues, Product Manager Databases
