Connector Improvement: Fully supported Microsoft Teams Connector Roadmap
Not plannedHi Fivetran Support Team,
I hope you're well.
I'm reaching out to inquire about the roadmap for the Microsoft Teams connector. I understand that a Lite Connector is currently available, but I’d like to know if there are any plans to release a default or fully supported connector for Microsoft Teams in the near future.
Specifically, I’m interested in:
- Capabilities planned (e.g., message-level sync, delta updates, AI/bot interactions, Teams analytics)
- Any upcoming enhancements to the existing connector
- Timeline for full support or GA release
This would help us plan our data integration strategy more effectively. Currently, we are setting up SDK to ingest MS Teams data (message level) to GCP BigQuery. Please let me know if there’s any documentation or updates you can share.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Best regards,

Hi Rakesh,
Fivetran fully supports our LIte connectors and Teams is already available in GA. Our Lite connectors don't always have as much coverage of endpoint and data - here is our documentation. Our current Microsoft Teams connector is not currently on a roadmap to be migrated to a Standard connector however we use customer feedback and upvotes on feature requests to assess demand for new connectors and enhancements so that could change in the future. Each upvote on this request helps strengthen the case for development.
As you note if you do have an urgent need for specific or custom data the Connector SDK offering can likely fill the gap.
To help us better understand your needs and potentially justify future commitment, could you provide additional details about your specific use case—such as the types of Teams data most critical for your analytics, or any integration requirements unique to your environment? Thanks,
Alison
