Connector Improvement: Feature Request: Delete capture support for activity_timeline Table in Gainsight Connector

Hi Team,

We are currently using the Gainsight connector, we've identified a need for a deletion feature specifically for the activity_timeline table.

Could you please consider adding support for delete capture in the activity_timeline table for the Gainsight connector?

    The related fivetran ticket that we had on this was : https://support.fivetran.com/hc/en-us/requests/302788. 

    This ticket has the details of the issue. The business impact here is a gsid which is deleted from source is still showing up on the reports.

    Hello,

    We got the following note from Logan from the internal Gainsight docs that indicate delete_captures are available for the Activity_Timeline table (snippet pasted below). Can you please confirm if this indeed is available and how do we go about incorporating it in our existing connector?

    "for the Gainsight Customer Success connector, Capture Deletes applies to all standard and custom objects, so it includes the Activity Timeline object/table (you’ll see deletes reflected via _fivetran_deleted = TRUE when enabled).

    The only delete-capture limitation called out is for the cockpit objects CALL_TO_ACTION and CS_TASK, where deletes are only captured for the last 15 days (older deletes require a re-sync)."

    Hi Megha, we don't currently support delete capture for the activity timeline table since it is a system table. However, we will be picking this up in an upcoming sprint and barring any blockers we may find, we expect to support this shortly.

    Hi Rutwik,

    Abdul from the product team here. Delete capture for the activity_timeline table in the Gainsight connector is now available on your end. Rows deleted at source will be reflected with _fivetran_deleted = TRUE.
