Other: SCIM integration does not set assigned role and/or team

We would like to sync our users and roles from our IDP to Fivetran, including mapping certain IDP groups to certain roles or teams in Fivetran. This would also help us with being able to set up a process by which we temporarily elevate privileges to perform administration tasks.

It does not appear that Fivetran supports people having more than one role.

I opened a ticket and the recommendation was to implement a script on the IDP side that utilizes the Fivetran API. Ideally we would not have to do that.

    Hi Bob,

    This feature is not currently on our roadmap. We gauge demand based on customer feedback and upvotes, and every upvote on this request helps strengthen the case for prioritizing it.

    To inform future consideration, could you share more details about your use case and specific scenarios where SCIM-based role and team syncing would streamline your internal processes?

    Amy,

    We want to have read-only access be our standard issued role for all users. Occasionally, when manual changes are required to be made through the Fivetran UI, we would like to enable a process where a user can request to be added to a role with elevated privileges.

    Ideally we would be using Terraform to provision our Fivetran config but we are not currently there yet. We tried it early on but ran into some snag that caused us to pull back and manage connections and destinations manually in the Fivetran UI.
