Connector Improvement: Add support for a Service Account user in setting up JIRA connector
AnsweredAtlassian has recently release a Service Account user where it is not tied to any actual user and does not need a password to login to the organization. More details on this article.

Fivetran needs to support using Service Account in setting up JIRA connector and be able to provide a granular/basic list of permission scope to efficiently and safely use the connector.

Hi Amiel,
We will look into support for this. Taking a quick look at the documentation I believe basic authentication should work the same way with service accounts. Let me know if you are still having trouble using basic authentication with a service account.

Yes this is still an issue.
Sudheer Kumar from product support team assisted us on troubleshooting the issue and found out that it is still not supported.
