Transformations: Get the deleted rows in Quickstart Data Model transformations for salesforce
AnsweredWe have a Salesforce table for which we want to get all the rows including the deleted ones. However, the view created by the Quickstart Data Model transformation has a filter "WHERE NOT mt.`_fivetran_deleted`". Can we have a feature to edit the transformation and remove this filter?

Hi Dhananjay,
We're going to expose configuration like this soon with our Quickstarts. I've added including deleted rows to our feature improvements backlog. Could you share more details about your use case and what you are aiming to solve by including deleted rows in your analysis? Understanding your specific challenges helps us guide implementation and prioritization.
Thanks,

Hi Jimmy,
Thank you for supporting.
One of the usecase is we want to track the deletion of AccountTeams in Salesforce. Salesforce deletes the AccountTeam record if the owner of the Account is changed. We ingest the accountteam object from Salesforce and want to track these changes in account team. Before using Quickstarts, all the rows including deleted ones were getting ingested. Now the Quickstart view skips deleted records. This is causing issue as the Business Intelligence teams need to manually keep track of the deleted records.
Is there any timeline for the configuration change. Please prioritize this issue.
Best Regards,

This will be a huge unlock for our team!
The salesforce formula utils package is awesome...but...due to Salesforce storage limits we routinely delete records from our production org which are then automatically excluded in this package's staging models. The business would still like to report on these records even though we've deleted them from Salesforce (It's mostly data older than a few years).
Any timeline on when this package configuration will be available?
