Connector Improvement: SAP Hana - Adding Data Type SBO:Memo
PlannedWe are requesting support for the SBO:Memo data type in the SAP HANA connector. Currently, all columns with this type (e.g. U_PMX_LUID, U_PMX_BBDT, U_PMX_MLUI) are excluded from schema syncs, despite being present and queryable in the source database. These fields are critical for our reporting logic and used for key joins and metadata. Fivetran support has confirmed this type is not currently supported.
This limitation significantly impacts our ability to model SAP Business One data accurately and maintain integrity across downstream analytics. Supporting this data type would remove a major blocker in our SAP reporting workflow.

Hi Rob,
This request to support the
SBO:Memodata type in the SAP HANA connector has been added to our feature improvements backlog. I recognize the value in enabling access to these columns, especially given their role in key joins and metadata for SAP Business One reporting. We are currently working to improve sourcing from SAP HANA by expanding the SAP ERP connector we currently have. This should also support your B1 use case, and your specific case has been added to the feature requirement list.
We will keep this thread updated with any changes or progress regarding support for this data type.
Thanks,
Edwin -
