Connector Improvement: Support for Whats-app Clicks in Braze

Hey, 

I’d like to request support for a currently missing event type in the Braze schema — specifically: users.messages.whatsapp.Click

Context & Use Case

We’re actively tracking engagement with WhatsApp messaging campaigns triggered via Braze Canvases. The Click event is a key signal for user engagement and is essential for:

  • Measuring performance and attribution of WhatsApp messaging

  • Enabling downstream analytics and funnel tracking

  • Aligning WhatsApp metrics with those from other messaging channels (email, push, etc.)

The event is being correctly triggered on the Braze side — confirmed via their support team and API logs — but it is currently not ingested into the Braze schema through Fivetran.

Request

We kindly request to include users.messages.whatsapp.Click as a supported event type in the Braze schema ( whatsapp_events table) .

    I appreciate all of the detail you provided. The use case makes sense. This is definitely something we want to add to our schema. I've added it to our backlog. We'll aim to pick this up in the current quarter.
