Destination Improvement: Snowflake column length increase
CompletedIn the new Snowflake 2025_03 bundle multiple increased size limits were added:
VARCHAR, VARIANT, ARRAY, and OBJECT is 128 MB, and the new maximum allowed length for columns of type BINARY, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOMETRY is 64 MB.
https://docs.snowflake.com/en/release-notes/2025/9_17
However HVR seems to be hard limited to 8MB in a binary column which cannot be worked around with a ColumnProperties/Datatype action.

Tamas,
This maximum length will be extended soon in HVR 6.2.0/24 and 6.2.5/10 as part of RD-985304 (look for this in the release notes).
Hope this helps,
Mark. -
Standard Fivetran connectors are the same, if that's different than HVR. Response received from Fivetran support is that the product cannot read that the bundle is enabled and therefore cannot sync the increased size.

Hi Tamas,
Thank you for submitting your request. We have indeed noticed that the lengths have increased and plan to support this. In fact we already had another customer request this. The ticket number is T-985304. I'd like to think that we can introduce this support in the next couple of months, but will certainly let you know when we're done.
Thank you,
Mark.
