Connector Improvement: Salesforce API usage threshold

As of the Salesforce update from May 2021 it is no longer possible to set a API limit on user level. The API Limit is now based on the whole organization. Therefore we cannot use the connector at all when the threshold remains at 90%. Our other API demanding services interacting with Salesforce would stop at some point which would crash our entire daily operations.
I request to set a API limit threshold in the connector individually or at least a custom setting for our connector.
I raise this request with high priority and I hope this issue can be addressed with urgency. Else we need to consider another tool that Fivetran.

This feature is now live and generally available. You can set a custom Salesforce API usage threshold in the connector settings to better manage your organization's API usage. Documentation and release notes are available in the Fivetran Salesforce Connector documentation.
