Connector Improvement: Isolate meta data tables added by the connector
AnsweredHello,
We would like to request the isolation of metadata tables created by Fivetran into a separate schema, distinct from the schema where we are replicating our data.
For instance, the Salesforce connector adds the following tables:
- FIVETRANAPICALL
- FIVETRANDEPENDENTPICKLIST_RELATION
- FIVETRAN_FORMULA
- FIVETRANFORMULAFAILURE_REASON
- FIVETRANFORMULAMODEL
- FIVETRANPICKLISTFIELD
- FIVETRANPICKLISTFIELD_VALUE
- FIVETRAN_QUERY
Could you please consider adding an option to move these tables into a separate schema ?
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Best regards,

Hi Babacar,
Thanks for sharing this suggestion with us. Can you provide some more detail on how this would be helpful for your team?

Hello Sadie,
As I mentioned previously these tables are present in the same schema location that replicate tables.
Today when we provide accesses to the raw tables, these tables are bothering the team and are not part of source tables.
With HVR we have the option to push the metatables/temporary tables into separate schema, which not the case with SaaS.
I hope it’s more clear for you.
Best regards,
Babacar
