Connector Improvement: email connector - follow links and authenticate
AnsweredWe were hoping to use the email connector; however, our source system does not send the data as an attachment. Instead, it sends a download link which requires authentication. It would be great if this could be supported by an enhanced email connector.

Hi Uday, thank you for filing this request! To effectively assist you in addressing your feature request, could you please answer a few followup questions:
- Which application do these emails originate from?
- Is the link a part of the email body?
- What kind of authentication does the download require?
- Finally, what current alternatives are you utilizing to sync this data?
Best,

Hi Parmeet,
Thanks for the follow up.
1. This specific use case is for the NICE application. You guys have a lite connector, which we use, but it does not have all the information we need. So, we need to supplement that data with additional feeds.
2. Yes, the email we get has a "Download" button, which has a URL to the download.

3. After you click the download button above, it opens a browser and prompts for a username/password.

4. Currently, before Fivetran, we used Python and the API to extract the data. However, it took a long time to develop. If the business could use this email adaptor and Fivetran, it would greatly reduce the time and effort to load data.
Thanks for your help.
Uday
