Connector Improvement: Improvements are needed to the synchronization method for logical replication in the RDS (Aurora) connector reader.
Not plannedIt appears that AWS Aurora PostgreSQL requires a Primary (writer) only when using the Logical replication method. RDS for PostgreSQL and Generic PostgreSQL support this feature. Is this not supported in Aurora?https://fivetran.com/docs/connectors/databases/postgresql#supportedconfigurations
Thanks.

Hi Takuya,
Thank you so much for sharing your request.
As it currently stands, Amazon Aurora doesn't allow logical replication from a secondary instance, while RDS and Generic Postgres added support for this with the version 16. This is a limitation of Aurora and we're not aware of any plans on their side to lift it, but once they do, we will certainly consider supporting it in the Fivetran connector. Until then, if logical replication from the primary instance is not an option, you can use XMIN or Teleport sync options.
