We would like support for third party back up tools. We back up our Tlogs to Cohesity and per support team this is not supported. If our connector fails to reach data past the set retention period, we are at risk for losing data.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback on support for third-party backup tool! We recently released a new replication method in our sql server connector - Binary Log Reader, which captures inserts, updates, and deletes from the transaction log similar to HVA. However, this new technology holds on to the log truncation point until the point it has read the logs.
