Connector Improvement: Fivetran Connector Additional Information
This is 2 requests on the Fivetran Connector. We are using the Fivetran connector currently to get logging information about our connectors.
I would be great if we could configure 1 connector to sync all destination logs and metadata to one place. Right now, we have 2 destinations and we have to go get the data based on the destination. As an admin, I want to see all logs across the entire account.
The second request would be to include Connector (source) database and schema names. Right now I can only see what the connector name is and what the target is. I want to get a list of all databases, schemas, and tables we are replicating from. Some of this information is already available but not all. If I want this extra information I have to either use the API or UI which is cumbersome.

Hi Bryan,
Thanks for the feedback. For the first point, this is already available. You would set up an account-level platform connector (instructions here) to do so.
For the second point, I hear you – we are working on adding this. I will let you know when this is complete.
Best,
Lyndsey

Thank you for the reply, Lyndsey. I will take a look at the account level platform connector. This will be helpful. Thanks for the comment and recognition of the second request for more information about the data being replicated. We look forward to it!

Hi Bryan,
Just following up on your second request. There are two features you'd need to solve this request:
- We recently added some connection details (e.g. database name) to the data model in the CONNECTION table. This is currently behind a feature flag, but we can add you on to this flag if you are interested?
- For schema names, this information is currently available in our metadata (*_metadata) tables as many connections have multiple schemas and we map these between the source and destination. While this feature is already available in GA, it is restricted to our enterprise plans, so that would be why you are not able to see this on your connection. You would need to upgrade your plan for access to this.
Hope this helps!
Lyndsey
