Other: API: Retrieve the status of individual tables within a sync operation

After syncing a connection, it would be great to have access to the status of tables using the REST API.
For instance, it would be great to know if a table has been or not, how many rows were updated, etc.
My understanding is that this information is currently accessible in the destination tables in the system columns and tables, but not through the API.
I saw that there were plans for a Fivetran Metadata API at some point, but can't find the page on the website now - the Fivetran Metadata API page returns a 404 error.
Could we get that information through the REST API?

We had metadata previously, but usage was low and overhead was high. Tell me about your use case, what problems does this solve for your team?
