Connector Improvement: Remove Non-Essential Amazon DSP Core Tables
CompletedThe Amazon DSP connector currently has 68 core tables in the schema which cannot be deselected. Most of these tables are not essential to querying the Amazon DSP API. For example, we wish to retrieve only the profile, advertiser, and campaign tables; We should be able to deselect the rest. Please review the Amazon DSP schema and remove non-essential tables from the set of core tables.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for submitting and upvoting this request.
I understand your use case, and supporting table deselection on our Amazon DSP connector makes sense.I've added this feature to our backlog. I'll post again here once we start work on this.
Thanks,
Vishal -
Being able to deselect tables would make this connector far more efficient and prevent us from incurring high MAR for tables we don't use.

Given that the Amazon DSP connector is scheduled to move into Beta soon, can we get a response on this feature request? The connector is currently unusable with multiple profiles and advertisers. The sync time increases exponentially with the number of profiles and advertisers. Our use case involves hundreds of profiles and advertisers, so it is essential that we are able to select only the required tables. The connector clearly has not been designed for scale, which we had hoped would be addressed during the Private Preview phase.

As per business requirement we never require all base tables, Initial sync is taking more time than expected due to all base tables so we should have option to deselect tables.

Any update on this ticket team ? Unnecessary paying MAR for tables we don't use.

Hi Mallikarjuna,
We have planned this for next quarter, i.e., Q3 (Aug to Oct).
I will keep you updated when this is picked.
Thank You,
Vishal

Hi Mallikarjuna,
I totally understand your concern regarding deselection of tables for Amazon DSP.
We’re actively working on this and plan to begin rolling it out tentatively in Q4. I’ll make sure to reach out once it becomes available.
Thank You,
Vishal
