Other: Generalize Connector State API calls to other types of connectors

This endpoint is only supported for Function and Connection SDK connectors.

This would a very useful feature to have with any type of connectors, for observability, automation etc. 

If generalizing to ALL connector types is too much of a lift, would it be possible to generalize it top database source types in a first pass?
