Connector Improvement: Sage Intacct - Use lookup function to explicitly set column type
Not plannedCurrently, type inference is used to determine the column type. This can lead to column types changing over time, e.g. number to varchar.
The Intacct API has a lookup function that can be used for each Intacct standard object, e.g. GLDETAIL. The lookup function lists all fields and includes a DATATYPE property for each field.
Can the Sage Intacct connector be updated to use this explicit data type information for columns instead of type inference?

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your suggestion to improve the Sage Intacct connector by utilizing the lookup function to explicitly set column types.
While we recognize the potential benefits, implementing this feature could introduce breaking changes as existing connections might experience datatype shifts. Currently, it's not on our roadmap due to limited demand, but we are tracking votes and comments to assess future prioritization. We encourage you to upvote this feature request, and we will consider it for future updates as demand grows.
Best,
Sandeep
