Other: built-in fivetran system and log table management
Fivetran-
Your product creates a number of system and logging tables that grow large but there is no retention management of these tables in your product. As far as I can tell, this currently falls on the customer to somehow magically determine usually reactively. I am not aware of any guidance or documentation on managing these tables either.
This is functionality that should be built into your product and enforced by one or more retention settings. This should NOT fall upon end-users to manage.

Hi Alex,
Thank you for the feedback.
We have a policy of not managing or deleting data within the customer's destination because it is owned by the customer. This is reinforced by customers having different preferences for how they want to manage these tables based on how they use the data. As an example, some customers keep the usage data indefinitely, while other customers only want that for the last year.
Are you using data within the Fivetran Platform Connector? If you aren't getting value from this data, one option would also be to turn off this connection.
Before you do, it would be helpful to understand more about how you are using the connection and I might be able to help provide better guidance on this for you.
Best,
Lyndsey
