    Hi Deniz,

I'm unsure how the schema-blocking feature would give you control over MAR. We explicitly decided to selectively choose the tables that customers want to source from SAP rather than sourcing all tables. A default S/4HANA or SAP ECC schema contains over 140,000 tables. We don't want to add new tables automatically. Hashing is available on SAP columns but will not impact MAR.

    Hello Edwin,

Yes we have to select the needed tables in the connector. I understood that when new collumn are generated this will automatically picked up and added to the table.

In some cases we might not want this (on big tables) as this will lead to an increase in MAR. Schema blocking prevents new collumns to be added automatically and therefore more control of MAR consumption.

    Thanks
    Deniz
