Connector Improvement: Support and reflect Standard SAP Processes: Hot/Cold logic and archiving
AnsweredFor Hybrid Deployment, SAP ERP Connector
Hot/Cold logic
Some SAP tables follow an Hot / Cold logic in which some records are stored in different partitions to improve performance. When a record is moved from the hot to the cold partition an "dataaging" field is updated.
Archiving
Some SAP Table have archiving enabled. This means that after some time records are archived and deleted from that SAP table.
Problem
In our particular case we experienced high MAR because we where billed
1) When new records are generated
2) When rows are moved to the cold partition the dataaging field is altered
3) When the records are archived and deleted in that table
These are standard SAP strategies and processes which need to be taken into account without driving the MAR and therefore costs for the customer.
Thanks

Hi Deniz, it is Fivetran's plan to support SAP data aging with a minimal possible impact on MAR.
