Connector Improvement: Linkedin Ads Analytics - sync sponsored content
AnsweredHi Fivetran team,
While querying the "ad_analytics_by_creative" table from the Linkedin Ads Analytics connector in BigQuery, I noticed that certain creatives have null value under "reference" (or urn as it's also called). This is true for all the organic posts that are sponsored in multiple ads (one to multiple relationship from organic to paid), as I cross checked with Linkedin's Ad Manager.
Upon conversation with the support team, it was explained that the LinkedIn Ads connector currently does not support syncing certain types of creatives, such as document-type ads, due to limitations in LinkedIn's API and the connector's capabilities. Specifically, these ads often fall under unsupported categories (e.g., sponsored content) that require additional API calls to the /posts endpoint. Unfortunately, this endpoint is not currently supported by the connector. As a result, the creative_history.reference column remains unpopulated for these types of ads, and the data may not be retrievable from other tables.
It would be very valuable to get this solved, as urn at ad creative level is the key to connect the Linkedin organic and paid data.
Thanks in advance!
