Connector Improvement: Zendesk Support Connector - Add ticket_metrics and ticket_metric_events objects
Not plannedPlease provide an option in Fivetran’s Zendesk Support connector to directly sync the Ticket Metrics and Ticket Metric Events objects. This ensures alignment with Zendesk’s native metrics logic, streamlines SLA-related reporting (including chat metrics), and integrates seamlessly with our custom dbt and orchestration standards.
Justifications
- Accurate Replication of Zendesk Logic - Zendesk’s metrics—particularly SLA violations and chat message tracking—are uniquely calculated and difficult to replicate from partially synced data.
- Reduced Complexity & Overhead - Rebuilding these metrics entirely via SQL or dbt transformations is time-consuming, prone to error, and creates extra maintenance.
- Alignment with Internal Standards - Our team’s custom dbt setup doesn’t align with the existing Fivetran dbt package. Access to raw Ticket Metrics data would let us maintain control over transformations.
- Competitive Parity - Other ELT tools (e.g., Stitch, Airbyte, Meltano) already support syncing these objects directly.
Thank you for considering this request. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Hi Daniel,
Have you tried our Quickstart data model for Zendesk ticket metrics? We generally avoid replicating aggregate metrics in our connectors if it is possible to calculate them from the raw data because this ensures that the aggregates are always up to date based on the raw data. Let me know if you have feedback about our data model.
Best,
Sadie
