Other: Ability to generate an SQL script with target’s in-sync DDL with HVR
Background:
The AdaptDDL feature is not enabled in this environment, and the customer requires manual maintenance of the target’s in-sync DDL.
Description:
As part of our data integration and synchronization process using HVR, we have a requirement to maintain the target database’s schema (in-sync DDL) while ensuring alignment of HVR-compatible data types between the source and target databases. Currently, we employ a workaround to synchronize DDL between the actual source and a temporary table, retrieve DDL from the temporary table using DBeaver, revise the DDL, and subsequently apply it as an ALTER TABLE statement.
We seek to request a feature in HVR that enables the generation of an SQL script containing the target’s in-sync DDL. This feature would facilitate manual maintenance of the target database schema while ensuring alignment of data types between the source and target databases.
Expected Outcome:
The capability to generate an SQL script with the target’s in-sync DDL from HVR, which can be utilized for manual updates to the target database schema as necessary.
Benefits:
- Simplifies manual maintenance of the target database schema.
- Ensures alignment of HVR-compatible data types between the source and target databases.
- Reduces errors and inconsistencies associated with manual updates.

Hi Jumphol,
I agree that this would be a good feature to have. I will add this to the backlog for future consideration. Please note that this will not likely be built in the next couple of months. However, at this point I'd like to deliver this some time in 2025.
Thank you,
Mark.
