Connector Improvement: Facebook Basic Ads
AnsweredHi,
The current basic Ads report has ad_id and Adset_name. It is very error prone to join on basis of adset_name to any table. It would be great if it has adset_id and adset_name. Similarly for Campaign basic basic report should have adset_id and campaign_id both. This will reduce incurring the error where the same name is used for two different adset_ids.

Hi Nellie,
Luke from the Fivetran Product team here. Thanks for submitting this feature request!I appreciate you raising this. I understand why joining on a name field would not be ideal. However, you could use ad_id to join the AD_HISTORY table, and then use AD_HISTORY.ad_set_id to join AD_SET_HISTORY. Would that meet your needs?
Also, it is possible to recreate these prebuilt reports as custom reports in the setup form for the Facebook Ads connector. If you do that, you can specify exactly which fields are included.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Luke
