New Connector: Redshift
AnsweredPlease implement a Redshift Connector, to support Redshift as a data source rather than only as a destination.
One of our vendors stores their data in Redshift, and we would like to sync a copy of that data into our own Redshift instance.
We are aware of the Redshift-to-Redshift data sharing feature offered by AWS, but it would be great to have a Fivetran Connector as an alternative, in cases where the owner of the source Redshift is unwilling or unable to set up a data share.
Thank you!

Hi Alex,
Thank you for your feature request. Since Redshift doesn’t provide an easy-to-use log for tracking updates, we recommend using the Connector SDK, which allows you to apply your knowledge of the data model directly. If you’re interested, here’s a Redshift-specific example to help you get started: https://github.com/fivetran/fivetran_connector_sdk/tree/main/examples/source_examples/redshift
We truly appreciate your input and will continue to monitor interest in this area as we move forward.Best regards,
