Connector Improvement: Character escape option for SFTP connector
CompletedPlease add this feature found in Amazon s3 connector to the SFTP connector:
Character Escaping Options: Delimited Only
We have a business use case where we cannot ingest some SFTP csv data due to how the client sends it to us. We do not have the capacity to modify or pre-clean these files.
For example:
7" BBQ Chkn --> this is okay in our process because the " is not at the beginning of the line
"New" Dinner for 2 --> this caused the process to error because the " is at the beginning of a line
This setting which is available today in the Amazon s3 connector would likely solve out issue and allow us to service this client's data. Currently we are missing some portions of data where this issue is present.

Hi Brian, thanks for submitting this request! You are able to do this on the new SFTP setup form by toggling off the quote character. This feature will be rolling out to all other file connectors in the next few weeks.
Thank you,
Parmeet
