Connector Improvement: Merge Ordway custom fields onto main tables

We utilize the Ordway connector. For this connector, any custom fields as part of a table schema get created as separate tables with one row per custom field. In some cases, we have 10+ custom fields per record which means we are generating 10X the MARs just because of custom fields.
Can this schema be changed so that the custom fields are appended as columns to the source table? Specifically, if you look at the subscription table, for example. I'd prefer the custom fields to just be columns on the subscription table instead of a separate table called subscription_custom_fields.
Over 50% of our total Fivetran spend is due to these custom fields. We aren't even using any of them, but it seems that Fivetran prevents us from disabling the custom field tables (which is also a valid option).
