Connector Improvement: Allow SAP ERP on HANA background jobs run multiple servers
PlannedCan you please update /FIVETRAN/SCHEDULE_SQL source code for SAP ERP on HANA to schedule/submit background jobs without a target destination? Current code either uses the RFC connection server or the server configured using /FIVETRAN/CONFIG. This limits background jobs to run on a single server. Standard SAP functionality will allow background jobs to be scheduled across multiple applications servers when created without a target server.

Hi Kevin,
This is a valuable suggestion. The request to update the
/FIVETRAN/SCHEDULE_SQLsource code to allow scheduling background jobs without specifying a target destination—thereby enabling jobs to run across multiple SAP application servers—has been added to our feature improvements backlog, and we are connecting this with a request to connect SAP loadbalancer (Message server), as that technology is used to spread loads over different SAP application servers.Updates on any progress regarding this enhancement will be shared on this thread to keep the community informed.
Thanks,

Hi Kevin,
We are engineering-ready and currently in final QA for this feature. It will be available for configuration in a couple of weeks. Please let us know if you would like to try it out sooner.
Best regards,
Edwin
