New Connector: Fivetran in China.
Dear Fivetran Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to inquire about the compliance of Fivetran with the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) in China and the possibility of setting up a Fivetran instance that aligns with these data residency requirements.
We have a Salesforce instance in China called SFOA (Salesforce on Aliyun), and our goal is to connect this to our data platform hosted in Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun) while ensuring that all personal data originating from China remains within its borders in compliance with PIPL. Specifically, we would like to understand if it is possible to deploy a Fivetran instance located in China to avoid cross-border data transfers for Chinese personal data.
Our current Fivetran setup is global. Could you advise on the steps to set up China-specific jobs within this global instance or any alternative configurations that would allow us to meet these requirements?
Thank you for your assistance and guidance on this matter.
Best regards,
