Connector Improvement: Google Ads - Auction Insights Report

Hi Fivetran team, 

We would like to ask for an improvement (additional report) in the Google Ads connector. 

We feel that the auction insights report (giving numbers on search/shopping impression share) might be a valuable add to the platform. Several metrics are already available in the API but not publicly listed.

    Luke from the Product team here. Thanks for submitting this request!

    Are you requesting that we add this as a new prebuilt report, or are you only interested in having these metrics available for custom reports?

    We'll look into these new metrics and I'll let you know when we can add them.

    Hi all, 

    Following up on my previous message. We tried requesting these metrics from the API and received the following error:

    The developer doesn't have access to metrics:
    "auction_insight_search_position_above_rate',
    'auction_insight_search_overlap_rate',
    'auction_insight_search_absolute_top_impression_percentage',
    'auction_insight_search_impression_share',
    'auction_insight_search_top_impression_percentage',
    'auction_insight_search_outranking_share"

    Apparently, Google does not provide these metrics in the API yet, but they are working on it. We found this thread where it is discussed on the forum: https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/w43xjOUhQ-g/m/SRHIuQIJAQAJ. 

    So, we can't support this feature request at the moment.
