New Destination: Fivetran HVR and SaaS to allow write-back to SAP destinations
Request is for Fivetran HVR and SaaS offering to allow write-back to SAP destinations
In some cases it is required to have reverse ETL capabilities for syncing data from D&A platforms back into either e.g. SAP BW or transactional systems / SAP ERPs.
In these cases, it should be possible to leverage Fivetran for reverse ETL to consume data from a source and write it into a SAP system.
Acceptance criteria:
- both Fivetran HVR and SaaS supported (for SAP systems on-prem and in SAP cloud)
- SAP BW systems (BW on HANA 7.5 and BW/4) supported
- SAP ERP systems (ECC and S/4) supported
- direct HANA DB ingestion supported (e.g. for BWs)
- ingestion via BAPI supported (e.g. for ERPs)
- sourcing of data from Snowflake, S3 and JDBC supported
- delta mechanism available for only ingesting/updating latest data from sources into target

Hi Dominik, Fivetran HVR supports SAP HANA as a target. It should be able to write back to the SAP system. We are investigating adding SAP Datasphere as a destination (and source) for Fivetran. Reverse ETL through SAP's application is not on the roadmap (yet).
