Connector Improvement: Amazon Selling Partner, show exported tables before sync
AnsweredIt would be much beneficial in terms of cost for Fivetran and in terms of time-saving for clients, to be able to see the schemas of the exported reports before starting the sync. When I set up the connector I am able to see just the default reports names, but not their schemas. Only when synced, I am able to check their schemas, but since they're already synced, I might pay end to pay for data exported that I did not need. It would be a very easy fix to apply, thank you!

Hi Jacopo
We already display information about various fields that we sync in the reports and other tables in the schema information section of our connector docs. Please feel free to review!

I’ve reviewed the ERD, but the schemas in that diagram are mostly not equivalent with the schemas of the reports exported at the end. Am I wrong?

They are meant to be an exact representation of the schema. Would you please share examples where this was not the case please?

Ok now I got it. There are 9 pages in that ERD, and only the last one shows the exact "report" tables schemas. Seems like I did not get to the last one. My question now is: how do the ERD docu works in Fivetran? In some cases I only see a classic ERD of the backend data model (the first 8 pages for example, or this other ERD of Marketo https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/18k4WYmAryn08o6Pp3_oI6Hp61uv908tygJtUQOu8IDg/edit#slide=id.g2468d8103f1_0_330), and in this case there are also the schemas of the reports. It could be much clearer to separate the two, or to specify this information somewhere. The "report" link in the Amazon Selling Partner documentation page (https://fivetran.com/docs/connectors/applications/amazon-selling-partner/reports#reports) just shows the names of the reports.
Anyway thank you very much for clearing me up!
Jacopo
