Connector Improvement: Increase Character Limit for Location Names in hvr hub from 12 to at least 20 characters
Currently, the character limit for location names in HVR6 is restricted to 12 characters, which is severely limiting our ability to create clear and meaningful location names. We strongly request an increase in this limit to allow for at least 20 characters.
The current 12-character limit forces us to use cryptic abbreviations, leading to confusion and potential errors. Extending to 20+ characters would allow us to use full, clear names for our systems and locations.
Please see below screenshot for example:

Hi Himanshu,
Sorry we cannot do this based on the way HVR is currently designed to work (that could be changed of course, but it'd be a massive undertaking).
The location name is included in the state tables we create in target databases. Some databases historically do not allow table names with more than 30 characters. The channel name is also included in the state table name, as are some additional characters for the different types of state tables.
Please use the location description to clarify the location name. I also strongly encourage the use of a consistent naming convention that you communicate with your team to minimize confusion.
FYI prior to HVR 6 the location name used to be no more than 5 characters. I imagine you agree that 12 is much better than 5.
Thank you,
Mark.
