Connector Improvement: Facebook Ads: add action breakdown for 'standard_event_content_type'
AnsweredI can't retrieve sales data per product.
Conversions happen on our website and those are tracked with the standard purchase event. We followed the recommended implementation and tracked the purchase information of different products by filling a property called 'content_name' with the product name. This allows us to easily differentiate between different products while using a singular goal for our advertisement campaigns.
The Facebook API has an action breakdown available for content data which is 'standard_event_content_type'. By adding this action breakdown we should be able to break down the conversion goal into the different products. In FiveTran this action breakdown isn't available.
I can't retrieve sales data per product. Alternatively, I can change my tracking setup to accommodate FiveTran's limited Facebook Ads connector and lose years' worth of historical data.

Hi Daniël,
Luke from the Product team here. Thanks for submitting this request.
We tried using this action_breakdown with several accounts and several levels (account, ad, adset), using both v19 and v20 API versions. We haven't been able to get any results from Meta's API. We always receive this error message:{"error":{"message":"An error has occurred. No further information is available.","type":"GraphBatchException","fbtrace_id":"AAX2N-Tus-vwsv7BaL7jiXb"}}Have you successfully submitted a request to Meta's API using this breakdown? Are you able to provide some examples of successful requests? Alternatively, could you share the report configuration you want to use with this breakdown and we can test that specifically?
Thanks,
Luke
