AnsweredHVR does not show error in logs, when grants are revoked from source table.
This is the sequence of steps:
1. HVR user having access to Table A, capturing, and integrating successfully from Source to Target.
2. Table A was recreated on the Database but HVR user lost access. At this point HVR user has NO access to the table.
3. HVR logs shows no issue, shows running, as though it has access.
Ideally there should be a check at least once a day from HVR side to check if table is accessible.

Madhur,
I would expect the log to show that the table was dropped. Do you not see that?
Thanks,
Mark. -
Hi Mark,
Unfortunately, no error in hvr logs.
We had raised this concern with case Id : 202100 and received the reply from HVR team as below:
"If you don't have any column property actions using SQL WHERE ROW, hvr will not query the table.
if you don't activate the channel, capture will not try to query and check on table.
Therefore, you may no see any issue report by hvr."Kindly let us know your findings.

Madhur

Hi Madhur,
What database type was this? The support ticket seems to indicate the source database was Oracle. Is that correct?
I wonder if you may have seen this issue on a database type that does not currently support drop/create table such as PostgreSQL.
Thanks,
Mark. -
Hi Mark,
Source database is Oracle.

Can you please indicate how the table A was recreated? I'd like to reproduce this issue.
Thank you,
Mark. -
Hi Mark,
Will check with source system team and get back to you. Meanwhile can you please try below steps to reproduce this issue.
1. Revoke grants to HVR user from source table.
2. Check for any error in HVR logs.
3. Insert some records in source table
4. provide grants
5. insert some records in source table.

Madhur
