Connector Improvement: Microsoft Ads - Performance Max campaigns
CompletedHello,
I'm trying to import Performance Max campaigns from Microsoft Ads using the Product Dimension report. When I run a Product Dimension report in the Microsoft Ads interface, I get conversions for Performance Max campaigns. However, the "product_dimension_performance_daily_report" synced by Fivetran does not include any Performance Max campaigns.
The Microsoft documentation implies that Performance Max related dimensions are required in the query to return Performance Max data: "Performance max campaign data will not be returned if the columns AdGroupName, AdGroupId, AdGroupStatus, AdId, AdStatus are selected, and the columns AssetGroupId, AssetGroupName, AssetGroupStatus, CampaignType are not selected."
AdGroupName (or ID) and AdId are included in the Fivetran schema, however, the documentation implies that if those are included then AssetGroup columns are required in order to include Performance Max data.
I've raised a ticket with support but the response was that the following fields are not yet supported by the connector for the "product_dimension_performance_daily_report" table: (AssetGroupId, AssetGroupName, AssetGroupStatus, CampaignType)
Could this please be looked into?
Cheers

Hi everyone,
Luke from the Product team. Thank you for following this feature request!
We’re excited to announce that our Microsoft Ads connector now supports Performance Max campaigns. This enhancement includes data from the ProductDimensionPerformanceReport, which provides data specific to Performance Max campaigns. For more information about these campaigns, visit Microsoft’s documentation.
What’s new
As part of this update, we’ve added the following tables to your Microsoft Ads connection:- ASSET_GROUP_ATTRIBUTE_HISTORY
- ASSET_GROUP_HISTORY
- PRODUCT_DIMENSION_IMPRESSION_PERFORMANCE_MAX_DAILY_REPORT
- PRODUCT_DIMENSION_IMPRESSION_PERFORMANCE_MAX_HOURLY_REPORT
- PRODUCT_DIMENSION_PERFORMANCE_MAX_DAILY_REPORT
- PRODUCT_DIMENSION_PERFORMANCE_MAX_HOURLY_REPORT
The new tables are gradually rolling out to all connections. We expect the rollout to take about 1-2 weeks to complete. If your Schema Change Handling settings are set to Allow all, these tables will be automatically included in your schema. You can learn more about Schema Change Handling settings here.
For further details about this update, refer to our release notes and the updated ERD. I'm marking this request as complete.
Thanks for your patience and input,
Luke -

Hi, is there any update on this please? It's rapidly becoming an issue as we can't report on Performance Max campaigns.
Thanks,
Jake

Hi everyone,
This is Luke from the Product team. Thank you for submitting and engaging with this feature request.
We plan to begin work on this feature soon. To move forward, we’ll need access to a Fivetran customer’s API to understand how data is returned from Microsoft’s APIs and ensure a successful implementation.
We'll contact each of you who have responded to this thread to request access. Our support team will follow up with further instructions.
Thank you for your collaboration!
Cheers,
Luke -
We need this feature too. This helps to report our performance max campaign data.

So how is the way to get the PMax data? I need this because we want to track the PMax Performance.
-
Hi,
we are also interested in this feature

Hi there,
Are there any updates on this request? We also require Performance Max campaign data for the Product Dimension report.
-
I wanted to check in on the status of the Microsoft Ads Performance Max campaign integration.
In your last update, you mentioned that development and testing would be completed within 2-3 weeks, with rollout announcements to follow, can we get an update please? -
Hi; we're also after getting this implemented as it means we're flying blind for some of our campaigns. Is there any estimate for when this might get done?
-
Hi,
Where are we with this please?
Thanks,
Jake
