Other: Proactive outage alerts
Currently the only way to know that there's an outage on FiveTran is by going to its status page -> https://status.fivetran.com/
This can get hard to trace if you are in a large organisation, and it would be great if FiveTran could notify (perhaps by email) when an outage is occurring so clients can take timely action where necessary.

Hi Farouk,
You are actually able to subscribe to emails from the status page. You can follow the instructions in the Docs here to do so.
Once you've entered your email, you can also define your preferences at different levels – for example, subscribing or unsubscribing to a specific connector.
Best,
Lyndsey

Hello Lyndsey,
We were subscribed and the notifications did not come through.
I have just re-subscribed for Slack and email for all notifications, and will update if we still don't get the alerts.
Stay healthy,
Farouk

Hi Farouk,
When you mention being subscribed, have you done that via Fivetran on the screen below or via status.fivetran.com?

The toggle above will actually only subscribe you to notifications about general Fivetran outages, for example, if the web application or API were to go down. If you're looking for service-level detail, you'll need to subscribe via the status page. Once you enter your email, you'll be taken to another page with more detailed options related to your subscription.
Hopefully that helps!
Lyndsey
