Connector Improvement: Include HVA user credentials setup as part of the HVA installer package

Hi,
Currently, we don't have an option to create HVA user credentials as part of the installer. It needs to be performed outside of the installation over command line arguments. Can we include this feature and certificate generation as part of the installation package?

    After some internal discussions we have decided to not improve the HVA installation experience.

    Thank you for your suggestion. I agree it is a good idea.

    But how about we eliminate the need for an agent altogether?

    Do you use the agent for Oracle, SQL Server, or Db2 iSeries?

    For both Oracle and SQL Server we have been working hard to build a binary log reader. The binary log reader can deliver performance at least comparable to HVA - possibly faster - without the need to install an agent. The binary reader for Oracle has been GA for a few months now. SQL Server binary log reader is in beta.

    Ultimately our goal is for the binary log readers to supersede/replace the HVA installations. We'll have a migration that does not require a full resync of the data once we get there.

    Please let me know your situation and if you need more information. In the meantime I will discuss the suggestion to extend the HVA installation.
