Connector Improvement: Shopify - user events (page views, cart views, etc.)
AnsweredToday, the Shopify connector is useful for understanding how much content has sold, but it does not illustrate the funnel well and give us the ability to understand drop-off rates from Shopify pages and/or click-through-rates from when a product was shown all the way until it was purchased. We would love the ability to show how many times the cart was viewed or a product page was viewed at the top of the funnel, before purchases were made, and thus would love if that data was made available via the Shopify connector.

Hi Andrew,
After looking into this a bit more, we've discovered that Shopify doesn't provide access via API to session/pageview data at the shop level, but they do provide it at the product level (e.g. the number of sessions in which a particular product was viewed, the number of sessions in which a particular product was added to the cart). You can see more information about what's available via API here: https://shopify.dev/docs/api/shopifyql/datasets/products-dataset
Would the data at the product level be valuable to you?
It's also worth noting that this data is only available from Plus merchant stores.
Best,
Sadie

Hi Andrew,
Sadie from the PM team here. Thanks for submitting this feature request. This sounds like valuable information to add to the connector. I've added it to the backlog, but I don't have a timeline yet. We will need to prioritize and investigate the possibility to retrieve this data via API. We'll keep you posted here. Comments and upvotes for this feature help increase priority.
Best,
Sadie
