Other: [Feature enhancement] Set multiple backup directory for log backup files to read in source
Hi Fivetran support,
This is to request feature enhancement to read archived/backup log files to multiple backup directory location from source in parallel. Would it be possible?
We have current issue in F6A HANA wherein the capture job keeps rewinding to the time it first read the missing logs because HANA doesn't have checkpoint where it stopped reading logs unlike Oracle.
The original backup directory is /hana/log-backup-2/DB_F6C, however source server is experiencing disk utilization issue in this directory to restore all needed missing logs. That is why ERP team suggests to point to different backup location (/NZDT-ARCHPOOL-SCPT/RITM5663028) to read those missing logs where they restored. The problem is that HVR doesn't automatically switch back to original backup location (/hana/log-backup-2/DB_F6C) when logs were missing to read in the current /NZDT-ARCHPOOL-SCPT/RITM5663028 directory before the logs got deleted in both backup location.
If possible, please acknowledge this enhancement request to read multiple backup location in parallel to avoid such replication issues in the future.
Currently there is only one backup directory location to read the archived/backup log files:

Hi Kervin, we do support HANA backint and we can read also from that file location. We will consider also adding an additional backup location as well.

Hi Kervin, we have identified this as an HVR Feature Improvement however, we don't have an ETA or a specific version where we will start supporting an additional backup location according to specification in this request
