Connector Improvement: Ability to repoint Aurora capture to a later time in HVR version 5.7.5

Hi Fivetran Support,

 

Our deployment of HVR is extensive, utilizing Aurora PostgreSQL as the source database. Numerous applications have transitioned to using Aurora PostgreSQL, and several critical applications are set to migrate to the cloud in the upcoming weeks. The current HVR version we are using is 5.7.5. Given these circumstances, we view the inability of repointing of Aurora captures in HVR 5.7.5 as a potential risk. This limitation could impact our ability to effectively address any potential issues that may arise. Therefore, we request the inclusion of this feature in Aurora 5.7.5.

    Rakesh,

    HVR 5.7.5 has been in extended support since the beginning of 2024 (until the end of 2025). Extended support means we fix bugs, but won't enhance the product. Sorry we cannot consider your request.

    Please note that in general for PostgreSQL Aurora we cannot reset the capture time.

    If capture is running behind then you can use a control to skip over changes. This is no different in the current GA version 6.2 as it was in 5.7.5.
