Connector Improvement: Capture deletes for ‘parent’ tables
Please improve the ServiceNow connector to include maintenance of _fivetran_deleted for ‘parent’ tables such as ‘Configuration Item’ (cmdb_ci) in keeping with ‘soft delete’ capability description.
While actual count of tables varies by ServiceNow instance (based on which products are enabled), a high percentage of the tables (> 10%) are extended by (i.e. ‘parent’ to) other tables – for example ‘Configuration Item’ table is extended by/parent to 169 tables. Current design of Fivetran connector does not capture deletes accurately on parent tables, and so the count of records on ‘Configuration Item’ and the other parent tables which comprise as much as 10% of the platform are incorrect. This gap puts the onus on the customer to create custom views for each parent table to ensure accurate counts when querying based on _fivetran_deleted value.

Thanks Andrew. This seems like a valid request to me. I'll add it to the backlog and see if we have capacity to take this improvement up in the future.
