Connector Improvement: CSV file not reading the blank columns
PlannedHi,
I am doing some data replication testing from blob storage location to snowflake. I have observed 2 things. Fivetran not supporting to the Excell format files, since my application is genarating only excel files so I have to manually covert it into CSV then only its strated reading those files.
Second issue, if I have a 5 columns in my CSV file, out of that 4 columns are having data and 5th columns doesn't have any values. When am loading into snowflake 5th column not at all appearing in the snowflake, table is only creating with 5 columns, is that because of not data available in that columns...?
Can you let me know what the workaround could be from the Fivetran to be appear even though I dont have data in the new columns.? sometime its possible scenario where it won't get the data all the time in all the columns.
Thanks,

Hi Rajendra,
Support for Excel is available on some of our other File connectors like Box and Google Drive. Adding Excel support on Blob Storage is on our roadmap for this year.
Regarding the column issue, I'll create a support ticket for this and support will reach out soon.
Thank you,
Parmeet
