Connector Improvement: Workday HCM - Need the track/history of a candidate application status

Hi Team,

We would like to have the step by step status of candidate application status from the HCM module tables ingested via the Workday HCM connector.

We could see the similar data is available in JOB_APPLIED_TO table, but looks like this table is storing only the latest status of the candidate's application status.

When we extract the same data via workday API, we are getting the track of the candidature.

Attached the screenshots to show the difference in the data between - the data pulled from API call vs the data ingested via connector.

Would be great if we could have the data stored in a similar way for the workday HCM connector as well.

    Can you post the API call you are using to retrieve that data? It would be helpful for us to understand if it is possible to get the data.

    Sorry for the confusion. The snip attached above is from the post API call we made to a pre-built report in workday. We're hoping to get the same data using the HCM API.

    Can you help me understand what the difference is? It looks like in screenshot to you are querying for a single job application? In the API call is that multiple job applications as they have unique workday IDs?

    Hi Frank, 

    Here is the difference - 

    The API call is able to return the multiple status of a student's application.
    In the API call screenshot, the application is same, but we are getting 2 different rows/workday_id's because of different values in the last 2 columns i.e. Previous_status and stage.

    But when we use the HCM tables, we are only getting the latest status of the student application.
    Also, we are making an API call to pre-built workday report.

    Hi Revan, 

    Unfortunately, Workday does not seem to provide any API that gets us those fields. I'm attaching their documentation on the endpoint that we use to get this data and there does not seem to be a way to capture candidate history like you are looking for. One potential solution would be to utilize our Workday reports connector to connect to that pre-built report. Hope that helps.
