Connector Improvement: Youtube - Content Type & Reach

Two requests:

  • It would be very useful to have information on the type of content a post is (e.g. shorts vs videos etc.)
  • It would be good to have the number of unique viewers for a channel/post (reach numbers) similar to what's reported in Youtube's Studio Interface as well.

    Luke from the Product team. Thanks for submitting this request!

    Unfortunately, YouTube doesn't provide this data via its API, so we aren't able to add it to our connector. We use this endpoint to populate our VIDEO table: https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs/videos. It doesn't include a field that distinguishes between shorts and videos. 

    This is the list of metrics YouTube provides in its reports: https://developers.google.com/youtube/reporting/v1/reports/metrics. No metric represents the unique viewers. 

    Please let me know if you believe I've misread these docs or if you are aware of other API endpoints that could provide this data.
